Southern California Rover Club |
Tim Cummings
Vehicle: 2009 LR3 on 32” tires with sliders and skid plate. I also still have a modified 2004 D2 that i purchased new and I previously owned a 2006 full sized Range Rover supercharged.
About Me:
I enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, I grew up doing a lot of camping, 4 wheeling and backpacking with my family. I did my best to continue with my own family. My daughter is now grown, but I know that the times we shared together out on the trails and out on the ocean have had a positive impact on her life. I currently spend most of my free time and feel most at home on the ocean. However, I still reside and run a business in the Coachella Valley and love to spend time in the Land Rover exploring the land and enjoying the life!style!
Favorite Destinations:
I love exploring the many different areas and terrains we are lucky enough to access in California. I do really enjoy Anza Borrego, Joshua Tree and Big Bear though. These days I am more about a moderate trail with good scenery and some moderately challenging terrain than I am about the hardcore rock crawling trails. I am fortunate that these areas are so close to my desert home.
Why I Love SCRC:
I had been enthralled with Land Rovers as a kid and purchased my 2004 D2 brand new from the dealership in Redondo Beach. I found the Club at the end of 2007. For several years I enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow Land Rover enthusiasts and really enjoyed running trails and exploring while traveling with similar vehicles. I made many good friends within the group. In 2022 I was presented an opportunity to purchase a 2009 LR3 for a thousand dollars and I couldn’t resist. I quickly brought it up to proper specs and rejoined the freshly revamped club. I was asked to become a trail leader and I have accepted, I enjoy helping others create lifetime memories while exposing themselves to this great lifestyle. I am very excited to be a part of this club in a way that I can give back to it!
