DON MACGREGOR

Name: Don MacGregor
Rover: 2000 D2
Modifications: Front and rear ARB air lockers, Ashcroft 412 HD front and rear gear sets, Ashcroft chrome-moly axles and CV’s front and rear, OME HD springs, Fox 2.0 shocks, TerraFirma HD steering rods, Tom Woods HD front and rear drive shafts.
A Love of British Cars: This is my first Land Rover, but I've had several Rover cars back in the day, along with Triumphs, MG’s, Jags and an Austin-Healey (restored old British cars with my father back in the day).

About Me:

I enjoy being a trail leader because I know how intimidating it can be to go places outside your comfort zone (or just somewhere you’ve never been before, trying something you haven’t tried), and being trail leaders allows us the opportunity to offer encouragement, support, and knowledge, and make those new places or experiences accessible to new people.

Favorite Destination:

I think my favorite trail anywhere has to be the Arizona BDR/Utah BDR. A little closer to home, I’d have to say the Mojave Road. While I certainly enjoy developed campsites and some creature comforts, I also love finding a nice dispersed camping site, especially with a small group of friends.

Why I Love SCRC:

The thing I love most about SCRC is the camaraderie. Whether it is sitting around talking Rovers, seeking out mechanical advice (I guess that’s ALSO talking Rovers), or running trails, there’s always someone ready and willing with enthusiasm and encouragement (and often commiseration) to share your joy and sadness with.
