Southern California Rover Club

Founded in 1994 as the Southern California Land Rover Club (SCLR). A we grew, our brand became a noticeable force. Land Rover NA was getting very protective of their name.

Consequently, our name changed to the current Southern California Rover Club (SCRC) in 2022. 

Our non-profit organization promotes off-highway vehicle outdoor recreation for Land Rover enthusiasts. With a legacy of adventure spanning three decades,

SCRC brings together a passionate community of owners eager to explore California’s diverse and challenging terrains.

From the rugged backroads to the harsh deserts and breathtaking vistas of Central and Southern California, SCRC showcases what Land Rovers were built for—proving they’re far more than just "mall crawlers." Our monthly trips offer opportunities for members and guests to experience the thrill of tackling remote trails, share their expertise, and create unforgettable memories. Whether you’re a seasoned off-roader or a first-time adventurer, there’s something for everyone.

Our members boast a wide variety of vehicles, from classic Rovers that have stood the test of time to the latest models fresh off the lot. In 2024, we proudly expanded our membership to include owners of the new INEOS Grenadier, fostering even greater diversity and camaraderie.

As we look to 2025, SCRC is elevating the off-road experience with a series of “resume trail” runs that promise to challenge and inspire. These trails, celebrated for their beauty, history, and difficulty, offer life-changing adventures that push the boundaries of exploration.

We’re also introducing more "lifestyle" experiences to deepen member connections and create opportunities for family engagement, both on and off the trail.

As well, we are flipping traditional sponsorship on its head with a new partnership approachas we seek long term partnerships invested in the future.
